Proven Performer for Pressure Testing
GripTight MAX® Test Plugs self-gripping design uses test pressure to increase the plugs' grip on the pipe – the greater the pressure the greater the grip. Patented dual-serrated grippers* provide redundant contact points between the plug and the pipe, distributing the load and increasing pressure holding capabilities. Engineered with long lasting urethane seals. High strength steel springs secure gripper segments and won’t crack and fail like O-Rings.
GripTight® Elbow Test Plugs incorporates all the design features of the GripTight MAX Test Plug while adding patented self-aligning grippers to accommodate the curvature of a long radius elbow. A test plug designed to eliminate welding on / cutting off end caps from spools ending with an elbow.
OD GripTight® Test Plugs utilize proven self-gripping action to grip and seal on the pipe OD - minimizing the number of plugs required to test multiple pipe schedules of the same nominal pipe size.
Plugs can be installed by onsite work crews and can be used for 50-100 tests!

*Gripper marks measure 0.004” – 0.016” (0.1 – 0.4 mm) – considerably less than 12.5% of pipe wall thickness allowable by ASTM A333 code.
