It's Time to Rethink the Way You Test Flange-To-Pipe Welds
Localized isolation of a line offers significant time and cost advantages over conventional methods involving draining and filling entire lines or vessels to hydrotest pipe-to-flange, and other maintenance related welds.
By integrating our proven GripTight gripper technology with the functionality of a conventional Double Block and Bleed plug, GripTight Isolation Plugs offer increased operational safety by minimizing the risk of accidental blowouts/expulsions due to unexpected upstream pressure.
In addition to its integrated safety features, GripTight Isolation Plugs require less than a gallon (3.8L) of test medium to perform hydrotesting*, drastically reducing typical wastewater (or other media) disposal costs associated with conventional flange testing.
- Self-gripping design creates a positive pressure barrier between seals, safely isolating hot work from upstream gases
- Test pressures up to 2250 PsiG (155 BarG) between the seals and monitor upstream pressure up to 1500 PsiG (103 BarG)
